Bouddi National Park Aboriginal Tour

Time: 3 hours

Distance: 2.5km

Difficulty: Easy

Rich in significant Aboriginal culture, Bouddi National Park offers stunning landscapes and ocean views. Your tour begins with an Acknowledgement of Country and sharing of our creation story. From there you’ll be guided through the National Park to significant Indigenous sites. View rock carvings, hear ancient stories and participate in a Smoking Ceremony to protect and cleanse the mind and body. With each step you will gain a progressive understanding of Aboriginal society and culture.

Yengo National Park Aboriginal Tour

Time: 4 hours

Distance: 2km

Difficulty: Easy

Following your guide, drive to stunning Finchley Trig Lookout for a traditional Acknowledgement of Country and hear our story of creation. You will have a 360-degree view overlooking Mt Yengo, which is as significant to local people as Uluru is to its people. Your guide will show you engravings and share ancient knowledge. You will have the opportunity to participate in a smoking ceremony to protect and cleanse the mind and body. You will hear language through story, song, and dance.

Bulgandry Aboriginal Area & Staples Lookout

Time: 1.5hrs

Distance: 350m, from Staples Lookout

Difficulty: Easy

Facilities: Bus parking

Beginning at the magnificent Staples Lookout, witness a traditional Acknowledgement of Country and hear our creation story while you take in the views of Brisbane Water and Woy Woy Bay. Next, hop back on the bus for a short four-minute drive to the Bulgandry carpark. From here you’ll set out on a short walk to view ancient Aboriginal rock engravings and participate in a traditional smoking ceremony. Connect to this beautiful country as you learn about bush food, medicines, spirituality, totems and fire stick farming. Your guide will share stories and ancient knowledge that provide valuable insight into the oldest living culture on earth.
